Due to Hurricane Katrina damage, the Mississippi Military Department made the decision to construct a specially designed Readiness Center in Poplarville, Mississippi, with supporting facilities including military and customer parking, fencing, sidewalks, exterior fire protection, outside lighting, access roads, a detached facility sign, wash platform, fuel storage and dispensing system, flagpole, and a low maintenance landscape and irrigation system.
